Based upon research conducted by the Chamber and advice from its consulting firm, the Board decided it was time to unite all of Jackson County. The first step toward this goal was to change the name of the Chamber to the Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. The next step is implementing "Focus Jackson: A Five-Year Economic Development Initiative for Jackson County." With this initiative in place, the Chamber looks forward to building a better Jackson County through a strong Chamber of Commerce Program of Work in partnership with the public and private sectors throughout the county.
